Evaluation

  •
    • Why did you choose this project?

    • How, specifically, will this activity meet your learning objectives?
    • What do you feel are the strengths of the project?

I think for third and fourth graders who study American history, this will synethesize how local areas are part of U.S. History. The exchange with students from Europe and Asia will also awaken their sense of history and culture as they see different art forms and language expressions.

    • In what ways does this project reflect Bloom’s principles? How will teachers provide students with ample opportunities for meaningful feedback (Habits of Mind)?

    • Are there any constraints you will need to address? The only constraints will be arranging school day excursions, fees, and transportation to the sites rather than trying to meet after school hours. This way all students can participate by taking pictures and interacting with the site.

This assignment will give you an opportunity to experience some of the advantages and constraints of collaboration. Describe your experiences and explain how you might use these to inform your own classroom collaborations later.
